At the end of season 1, Bonnie seems like a guardian of the town. I think in season 2 they should have gave her a better purpose. It's just a shame we didn't get to see that fun and cheerleader side of her more. ![]() Personally, I like the way Bonnie was written in season 1. She tells Stefan later, "I know who I am now." After all those traumatizing experiences and the death of Sheila, she gets to know her nature. Saving Damon from the fire? Only possible because Bonnie allows it and helps. The device used to locate vampires? Only Bonnie's power can undo it. Especially after finding out what her power can do. Of course she's quite and unsure of herself, because for the half of the season no one even properly explains anything to her, expect For Sheila who helps her with her magic.īy the end however, Bonnie finally understands her potential and her power. She goes through a lot of things that are completely confusing to her. After realizing what she is from her grandma, she ends up in a lot of vampire dramas and Damon starts threatening her for Katherine's crystal. ![]() When Bonnie starts using her magic it's clear that she's freaking out. I don't think she was a cheerleader just cause her friends were, I think she enjoyed being one. In episode three of season 1, she was there for practice even tho she didn't know whether Elena would go or not and Caroline didn't answer her calls. Also, we do know that Bonnie was a cheerleader as well, maybe not as popular as Caroline and Elena, but still popular enough. I think it was mentioned that Bonnie was friends with Elena since childhood, and they were like sisters, so I guess that they knew each other before Elena turned popular in school.
